Donna Ruppert, 90

Funeral services for Donna Ruppert will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Currie, MN on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Msgr. R. Paul Heiting officiating.  The organist is Patty LeClaire.  The song Leader is LoAnn Hansen.  The pallbearers are her grandchildren.  Interment is at Calvary Cemetery in Currie, MN.

Donna Ruppert was born on November 23, 1926 in Tracy, Minnesota to Mike and Frances O’Malley Larson.  She grew up near Garvin, MN and graduated from Tracy High School.  Following high school Donna moved to Minneapolis, MN and worked for a short time.
On August 20, 1946 she and Clifford Ruppert were married at St. Mary’s Church in Tracy.  Following their marriage they farmed near Garvin until 1960 when they moved to a farm near Currie, MN.  In 1965 they moved to Currie.  Donna worked as the bookkeeper for Ruppert Plumbing and Heating in Currie until 1985.  Clifford passed away on November 8, 2006.
Donna remained in Currie until 2010 when she became a resident of the Colonial Manor in Balaton, MN.  Donna passed away there on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the age of 90.
She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Currie.  Donna loved spending time at their cabin on Lake Shetek with family and friends, boating and fishing.  Donna enjoyed playing cards, baking, and cooking.
Survivors include her four children and their spouses, Jerome and Vicky Ruppert of Eau Claire, WI, Brad and Marge Ruppert of Eau Claire, WI, John and Anita Ruppert of Currie, MN, and Mary McCollar and Corey Lundy of Sioux Falls, SD, ten grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one brother, Lyle Larsen and Jean Kruger of Garvin, MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clifford, two sons, Larry and Eugene Ruppert, one great-grandson, Alejandro (AJ) Lorente, one brother, David Larsen, and one sister, Irene Leatherwood.
