No rest for the 4-H weary

Local 4-Hers kept plenty busy leading up to county fair time

Hannah Wichmann sure knows how to juggle.

No, it’s not the kind of juggling she will do on stage on Sept. 1 for her talent presentation as a Miss Tracy candidate this year — this is the kind of juggling that allows her to continue to be one of the most active high school students in the area, and do so at the highest level possible.

As a member of the Murray County Lakers, Wichmann earned champion ribbons in dairy-overall and dairy-senior at this year’s Murray County Fair. She also worked at the fair, serving malts to hot and thirsty fair-goers.

But that’s just the beginning of her busy slate. One day, the senior-to-be at Tracy Area High School is getting a dress altered, the next, she’s showing cattle. And as a Tracy Area High School FFA representative, she was even at Farmfest earlier this month selling ice cream.

Whew!
