Dale C. Alexander, 87

Dale C. Alexander was born on June 17, 1931 and passed away on April 27, 2019.

Celebration of life for Dale Alexander, 87, of Huntsville AL and formerly of Tracy will be on September 7th, 2019 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club of Tracy at 2:00 p.m. after a private interment at the cemetery.

He passed quietly surrounded by family on April 27, 2019 in Huntsville AL.

Dale Claude Alexander was born June 17, 1931 to Ira and Nell (Greenman) Alexander in Tracy MN.  He was baptized in the Presbyterian Church in Tracy.  He attended school in Tracy and helped his father with the local garbage service.  After school Dale was active in the United States Army National Guard.  While in the National Guard he served at Fort Rucker Alabama.  After his honorable discharge in October 1953 he traveled and worked with a carnival for a while before returning to Tracy going to work for the railroad.  He then went to work for the Tracy Independent School District 417 for about 17 years before purchasing the Garvin Corner Café and Gas station in January 1971.  He moved to Leeds AL (near Birmingham) in 1982 where he managed a Vending Company and then moved to Huntsville to be near his family in 2013.

Dale was united in marriage June 6, 1953 to Lois Howard in Temperance MI.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Nell Alexander, wife Lois Alexander, son Howard Lee Alexander his brother Ivan Alexander and Granddaughter Sarah Jane Alexander.

Dale is survived by his daughter, Nelda (and John) Webster of Manito Springs CO; son, Dennis (and Judy) Alexander of Tracy MN; son, Ron of Manito Springs CO; Ric (and Cindi) of Huntsville AL.  Grandchildren, Andy (and Kari) Wilkison of Tracy MN; Robert (and Sara) Wilkison of Baltic SD; Christopher (and Megan) Alexander of Walnut Grove MN; Brandon Alexander (Natalie Dalton) of Westbrook MN; Nicholas Alexander of Huntsville AL; Delaney Alexander of Huntsville AL.  Great Grandchildren, Josh Wilkison, Alex Wilkison, Ana Wilkison, Garrett Wilkison, Madison Alexander, Ethan Alexander, Jade Mitchell and Ezra Smith
