Katherine Darlene (Kummer) Goss passed from this life on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Terrace Nursing Home in Berea, KY.
Funeral services were at Lakes Funeral Home on Thursday, January 30. Interment will be at Tracy Municipal Cemetery at a later date.
Katherine was born in Peoria, IL on July 6, 1927 to Nettie and Mike Kummer. She moved to southwest Minnesota in the Cobden / Sleepy Eye area as a child. Upon marrying Peter Raymond Goss, she became a farmwife and mother and lived Walnut Grove and Tracy. She worked at Tracy Hospital as a nurse’s aide until retirement. She moved to Berea, KY in 2000 to be closer to family.
Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Raymond Goss; infant daughter, Patricia; her parents Nettie and Mike Kummer; siblings Kenneth Noble, Chancy Dwight Noble, Mary Noble Horner, Millie Noble Hart, Mitchell (Bud) Kummer, and Millard (Mac) Kummer; and special friend Robert Johnson.
She is survived by her three children, Michael Andrew Goss and wife Gay, Annette Louise (Goss) Almjeld, and Joyce Darlene (Goss) Fairchild and husband Dennis; six grandchildren, Mark Goss, Scott Wheatley, Gina (Wheatley) Johnson, Jennifer Marie Almjeld, Christopher Fairchild, and Derek Fairchild; 10 great-grandchildren; and her friend Carol Fugitt.
She was a member of the Methodist faith and attended Glades Christian Church since moving to Kentucky. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening, cooking, shopping and time with friends and her family.
