Eileen G. Sletten age 95 of Tracy, MN, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the St. John’s Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN, surrounded by her family and staff.
Due to current COVID restrictions, a private family funeral will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Home, Springfield, MN or American Cancer Society, or an organization of your choice.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield is handling arrangements.
Interment will be in the Tracy City cemetery.
Eileen was born November 22, 1925 in Florida Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She grew up in Clear Lake, SD, spending her Freshman/Sophomore years at Altamont, SD, then Junior/Senior years at Clear Lake High School. Eileen worked as a waitress in Clear Lake, SD, then in Brookings, SD, before working at the Nelson Florist in Brookings, SD.
Eileen married Kenneth H. Sletten on July 17, 1947 and they were married for 63 years. Eileen was the heart and soul of the family, supporting Kenneth’s civic activities as they raised five children in Tracy, MN, and were owner/operators of Ken’s TV & Radio-Sales and Service. Through the years, Eileen was active in the Tracy Lutheran Church Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary for over 55 years, Tracy Blue Birds/Campfire Girls, and the Tracy Hospital Auxiliary after the passing of her son Kenneth J. at the age of 18.
Eileen loved to read and cook delicious meals from scratch. She always had food and treats for everyone who visited, no matter how short the visit. Her Sunday and Holiday meals were very special times to gather.
Eileen lived independently after the passing of her husband until the age of 92. She had a very good sense of humor and pearls of wisdom along with her “one liners” in her later years.
Eileen is survived by her son, Steven (Lori) Sletten; son Kevin (Mary) Sletten; daughter Susan (Paul) Muehlbauer; son Stacy (Mandy) Sletten. Eileen’s grandchildren: Melissa (Jason) Hagen, Mark, David, Paige, Mariah, Cameron and Jayda Sletten. Two great grandchildren: Andrew and Morgan Hagen. Also by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Harold Sletten; son Kenneth James Sletten; grandson Connor Sletten, many family and friends.
