A Celebration of Life is planned for Marian Newberg on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from Noon to 3 p.m. at Twin Circle Community Room in Tracy, Minnesota.
Marian Grace (Halfmann) Newberg was born September 27, 1961 in Tracy, Minnesota to Harold and Shirley Halfmann. Mary attended St. Mary’s School and graduated in 1980 from Tracy High School.
Mary worked many years at Christian Manor Nursing Home as a Certified Nurses Aid where she met and married her husband Arthur Newberg on July 8, 1983.
Art and Mary had many adventures driving truck over the road together for a few years. She, then, worked at Schwan’s until she had back complications and became disabled.
Art and Mary had a very happy marriage until Art’s death from cancer in 1995.
In 1996, she met Jeff Evans and shared the remainder of her life with him and his daughters. They were blessed with nine grandchildren.
Mary loved doing crafts including 3D paper flowers and embroidering baby blankets and towels. Her passion was to give these items to her friends, family and to people at hospitals, clinics and other places of business.
Mary suffered for many years with medical complications. She passed away peacefully at her home in Tracy with Jeff and family by her side.
Mary is survived by her significant other Jeff Evans and his daughters Tanya (Dustin) Drake, Marshall, MN; Tracy (Nathan) Newman, Willow River, MN; Kelly Evans, Blaine, MN; Angela (Todd) Evans, Sturgeon Lake, MN; Father Harold (Marlene) Halfmann, Luverne, MN; Step-daughter Jodie Newberg, Minneapolis, MN; Sisters Deb (David) Johnson, Tracy, MN; Judy (Dennis) Alexander, Tracy, MN; Step-brothers Mike (Michelle) Turner, Sioux Falls, SD; Marc (Bernie) Turner, Marshall, MN; Sisters-in-law Pat Smith, Angie Halfmann, Melanie Lienig, Armistina Newberg; Many nieces, nephews and 11 step-grandchildren.
Mary is proceeded in death by her Mother Shirley Halfmann, Husband Arthur Newberg, Brothers Steven Halfmann, Jeffery Halfmann, Brother-in-law David Newberg, Nephew David C. Johnson Jr., Niece Stacy Halfmann.
There will be a private family burial at North Hero Cemetery in Walnut Grove next to her husband, Art.
