Fundraising for the proposed new community center in Tracy has nearly reached the $630,000 mark after being awarded a grant from the Carl and Verna Schmidt Foundation.
The Community Center Workforce Group last week announced they have been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Foundation, putting the total donation amount as of March 13 to $629,796.
