Churches are not just for Sunday worship. They are home to both weddings and celebrations of life as well.
This past Sunday at Tracy Lutheran Church was sort of a combination of both mood-wise, even though neither such an event took place.
That bittersweet day marked Pastor Eric Natwick’s good-bye to his flock, as the popular and beloved pastor with the booming tenor voice loud and distinct enough to inspire even the most reserved Lutheran to raise his or her voice in song, offered up his final sermon and sang his last hymn — “God Be With Us Till We Meet Again” — in Tracy, as he is retiring from his calling from the church after nearly 11 fulfilling years.
