Colleen Hoffman, 73

Services for Colleen Hoffman, 73, of Walnut Grove will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2004 at Zion Lutheran Church in Tracy. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 28 at the Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy. Burial will be at the Sanborn Cemetery in Sanborn.

She died Monday, April 26, 2004, at Weiner Memorial Medical Center in Marshall.

The Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy is handling the arrangements. A complete obituary will be published next week.

Lowell Kitterman, 84

Lowell Kitterman was born on June 4, 1919 in Tracy, MN.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army after Pearl Harbor and served state side in Army Air Corp in South Carolina and Texas. He also served with the National Guard and was called in to Camp Rucker in 1951.

He married Doris Nelson on December 4, 1942 in Tracy. He was employed by Earl Allumbaugh dairy.

They moved to Waverly, IA and then near Sioux City, IA. Another opportunity came up and they moved to Lincoln, NE where they spent many years.

Lowell was very active in the Sheridan Lutheran Church in Lincoln. He served on prison ministry, prayer groups and several other groups in the church.

He was employed by Alpo Dog Food as a supervisor over maintenance prior to retirement. He drove vans for Homestead and Madonna rehab centers taking patients to doctor appointments.

Lowell passed away on April 2, 2004 after a long battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife Doris, daughters, Louise of Lincoln and Janice of Agalallen, NE and son Jack from Sandy Hook, CT, twin brother Lyle of AZ and sister Lois Sutfin of Minneapolis, MN; in-laws Netter and Bernie Holm and Strann and Gwen Nelson, all of Tracy.

Joyce Sorbel, 72

Joyce L. Sorbel, age 72, of Marshall, passed away at the Weiner Memorial Medical Center on Monday, April 26, 2004. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2004 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with an 8 p.m. prayer service Wednesday at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at the church on Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
