Archer Daniels, 72

Archer (Archie) Daniels, 72 of Tracy, MN passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 6, 2009 at his home.

He was born June 4, 1937 in Murray County to Azro and Della (Greenman) Daniels.  He attended Tracy Schools.  He worked for Clarence Goettig Electric, the Garvin Park, and other local places.

Archie had a great sense of humor.  He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, who will always remember the fun they had.

Archie is survived by his brothers, Amos (Jeri) Daniels, Andy (Shirley) Daniels, sister Irene Bakker (Albert Dalle), and Betty Pool, all of Tracy; 3 nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

he was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother Edward Daniels, sisters Evelyn Swanjord, and Nellie Whiteside, and three brothers-in-law; one nephew, Todd; two nieces, Cassie and Mary Dell.

Archie was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

 

 

Violet Pullman, 96

Funeral Service for Violet Pullman, 96, formerly of Marshall, will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Marshall.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Rehkamp – Horvath Funeral Home in Marshall and will continue from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.  Interment will follow the service at the Marshall Cemetery.

Violet Auguste Ottilie was the youngest of eight children born to Emil and Minnie (Gladitsch) Redmann April 1, 1913 in Granite Rock Township, Redwood County, Minnesota. She attended District 81 Country School in Granite Rock Township. 

Violet and Sam Pullman of Hitchcock, SD were united in marriage November 7, 1939 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church parsonage in Redwood Falls.  Following their marriage they lived in the Marshall, Tracy, Lucan, Walnut Grove and Milroy areas and returning to Marshall in 1960.  In 1991, Violet moved to Marshall Square Apartments where she lived until September, 1998 when she became a resident at Valley View Manor Nursing Home in Lamberton.  On October 1, 2009, she became a resident of St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.  

Violet died Saturday, January 16, 2010, at St, John Lutheran Home in Springfield.

Violet is survived by her son Ronald (and Judy) Pullman of Marshall, daughter Junette (and Thomas) Merchant of Westbrook, 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sam in 1989, son David in 1968, grandson Brian Pullman, brothers Martin and Fred and sisters; Elsie, Ann, Esther, Cora and Emma.

 

 

Harry Zwach, 99

Mass of Christian Burial for Harry Zwach, 99, formerly of rural Tracy, was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2010, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Milroy.  Interment followed the service at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Milroy.

Harry Peter Zwach was born on November 19, 1910, on the family farm in Gales Township to Joseph and Barbara (Hammerschmidt) Zwach.  He grew up on the farm and graduated from Milroy High School in 1929.  On June 6, 1938, he was united in marriage to Louise Frank from Wabasso.  The couple farmed and raised their family south of Milroy.  Service to community was very important to Harry.  He was a 76 year member of the Knights of Columbus, was an active member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, and belonged to numerous other local, township, community and agricultural boards and committees.  He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following Milroy baseball teams, the Twins, Vikings and others.  He also enjoyed playing and listening to music.  Harry and Louise enjoyed dancing.  They also enjoyed travelling and spent 23 winters in Harlingen, TX.  For the last couple of years, the couple has been living at the Golden Living Center in Wabasso.  Harry died on Friday, January 15, 2010, at the Redwood Falls Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Louise, currently living in Wabasso, children Donald (and Fran) of Waseca, David (and Pat) of Tracy, Janet (and Jim) Fuhrmann of Marshall, Ken (and Joan) of Chanhassen, Marlys (and Ron) Ousky of Edina, grandchildren Thomas (and Debra) Zwach, Michael (and Alexia) Zwach, Greg (and Peg) Zwach Diane (and Dan) Flygare, Alan (and Kristi) Zwach, Doug Zwach, Kim (and Jamie) Jenniges, Susan (and Stephen) Freedman, Christine Fuhrmann, Jason (and Ta’mora) Fuhrmann, Jane (and Frank) Laporte, Steve (and Kristi) Zwach, Maria, Daniel and Katie Ousky, 18 great-grandchildren, one sister Carol (and Vic) Kesteloot of Marshall, sisters-in-law Bernice, Leah and Doris Zwach, Mary Ann Krueger, Gordon Georgius, Joan and Frank Wilbur, Elaine Schmidt, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Rose (and Bill) Fisher, Elsie (and Joe) Schloegel, Joseph Jr., John (and Agnes), Emma (and Hubert) Van Keulen, Paul, Roman (and Rita), Henry, Robert, in-laws Raymond Frank, Edward and Alice Frank, Bill Krueger, Dorothy Georgius, Arlene and Howard Welu, Lloyd Schmidt and one grandson Jon Fuhrmann.
