Archie Daniels

Funeral services will be held for Archie Daniels on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Tracy Kingdom Hall, 10th and Morgan St., Tracy, MN.  

 

 

Mary Lou Schubbe, 80

Mary Lou (Voge) Schubbe, 80, of Springfield, MN died on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN.

Funeral service was held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield, MN on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. The Clergy was Pastor Mark Johnson. Interment was at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Springfield, MN. Arrangements were with the  Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, MN. Mary Lou Schubbe was born on May 20, 1929 in Northstar Township, Brown County, MN, the daughter of Herman August and Marie Louise (Haseleu) Voge. Mary Lou was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield.  She graduated from Springfield High School.

She married Elwin H. Schubbe of Mapleton, MN on September 9, 1951 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield.  Mary Lou was employed at the Springfield Creamery, Sanborn Manufacturing and Zytec of Redwood Falls and retired on December 31, 1997.    Mary Lou was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield where she enjoyed singing in the church choir.  She also enjoyed dancing, golfing, bowling, playing cards, collecting coins and matchbooks and loved being outdoors.

Mary Lou died on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 80 years.

She is survived by a brother Alfred Voge of Tracy and sisters - Arlene and husband Norman Krebs of Sleepy Eye, and Marge and husband Chuck Schwartz of Tracy. 

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, a brother - Alvin Voge and wife Tina; a sister Edna and husband Elmer; a half brother Gerald Kettner; and a sister-in-law Betty Voge.

 

Doris Templeton, 81

Doris Templeton, age 81 of Tracy, MN died Friday, February 19, 2010 at Prairie View Healthcare Center in Tracy.  Services were held Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Tracy Presbyterian Church.   Interment was in the Tracy City Cemetery.  The Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy is handling the arrangements.  Online condolences may be placed at www.almliefh.com.

Doris Mae Templeton was born November 23, 1928 to Marke and Mayme (Larson) Flatequal in Tracy, MN, Lyon County.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian faith and attended Tracy Public Schools, graduating from Tracy High School in 1946.  Doris then attended a Secretarial Training School for one year before returning to Tracy and working for Algyer Law firm. 

On January 6, 1949 Doris married Dale Templeton in Tracy at the Presbyterian Church.  They made their home on Dale’s parent’s farm north of Tracy.  For many years Doris worked for the Buzzell Law firm in Tracy during tax preparation time and raised a family on the farm.  They remained on the farm until Dale’s retirement in 1991 when they moved into Tracy.

Doris was a member of the Tracy Presbyterian Church and very active in the church women’s groups.  She also was a member of the Eastern Star, Farm Bureau and several card clubs over the years.  Doris also was one who gave of her time to children and the community, volunteering for over 20 years as a 4H leader and at the Wheels Across the Prairie Museum in Tracy.  She enjoyed needlework and ceramics, but really loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In 2008, Doris became a resident of Prairie View Healthcare Center where she died Friday, February 19, 2010 at the age of 81.

Doris is survived by her husband, Dale Templeton of Tracy, MN; one daughter, Paula Pahnisch of Janesville, MN; three sons, Donald Templeton of Corcoran, MN, David (Debra) Templeton of Cromwell, MN and Mark (Laurie) Templeton of Tracy, MN; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; one brother, Roger (Pat) Flatequal of Omaha, NE; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Anderson of Tracy, MN and Bonnie Flatequal of Eagle Grove, IA; one brother-in-law, Jay Christensen of Rochester, MN; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Her parents, one infant son, two brothers, Robert Flatequal and Merrill (Helen) Flatequal, one sister-in-law, Donna Christensen and two brothers-in-law, James Manguson and Ivan Anderson preceded her in death.
