Luke Beers, 30
Funeral services for Luke
Dennis Beers were held at Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton on Saturday, March
19, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev.
Doug Minton officiating. The organist was Twyla Hungerford with special
music by Krista Keller. The pallbearers were Ross Behrends, Tim Bobeldyk,
Andy Rice, Pat Lais, Trevor Anderson, Luke Schneider, TJ Schmidt, Matt
Ackerman, Jim Hoekman, and Myron Bennett.
Luke Beers was born on March
16, 1980 in Morris, Minnesota to Dennis and Julie Gerber Beers. He grew
up in Slayton and graduated from Murray County Central High School in Slayton
in 1998. Following high school Luke attended Southwest Minnesota State
University in Marshall, graduating in 2003. Luke worked for the family
Culligan Water Conditioning business in Slayton, Marshall and Tracy. Luke
refereed junior high football and basketball games and umpired baseball
games.
Luke passed away unexpectedly
on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in Slayton at the age of 30. He was a member
of Trinity Lutheran Church in Slayton. He also was a member of Pheasants
Forever and played amateur baseball with the Hadley Buttermakers. Luke
enjoyed hunting, breeding Weinmaraners, playing pinochle and hanging out with
family and friends.
Survivors include his parents,
Dennis and Julie Beers of Slayton, MN, two brothers, Ryan Beers of Slayton, MN
and Adam Beers and his wife, Katie of Springfield, MN, one sister, Laura Beers
of Mankato, MN, two nephews, Russell (Godson) and Thomas Beers, paternal
grandparents, Willard and Darlene Beers of Slayton, MN and maternal
grandmother, Arlie Sellevold and her husband, A R of Slayton, MN, and many aunts,
uncles, cousins and close friends.
He is preceded in death by
maternal grandfathers, Jim Gerber, and Russell Muecke.
Interment will be
private. Totzke Funeral Home of

Anna Lou
Anna Lou C. Randall, age 94 of LeSueur died on
Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Minnesota Valley Health Center in LeSueur.
She was born on September 7,
1916 in Tyrone Township, LeSueur County to William and Louisa (Bauleke)
Aufderhar. Anna Lou attended
country school and graduated from LeSueur High School.
She married Harold Randall on
May 5, 1939 at her parents Tyrone Township farm. They farmed in Sharon Township for a many years.
Anna Lou is survived by her
two sons, Arlee (Elizabeth) Randall of Owatonna and Raymon (Janet) Randall of
Tracy, Minnesota, seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Harold in 2001; three brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held
on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the LeSueur United Methodist Church,
Rev. Barbara J. Lindgren, Officiating. Interment will be in the Mound Cemetery in LeSueur. Visitation is one hour prior to the
services at the church on Thursday. Kolden Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Caroline Thielges, 83
Caroline M. Thielges age 83 of
Tracy, MN died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at the Prairie View Healthcare Center
in Tracy. Services were held
Monday, March 21, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy. Interment was at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday,
Mar. 22 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in St. Paul, MN. The Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy
handled the arrangements.
Caroline Marianne Thielges was
born February 10, 1928 to Mark and Regina (Przybys) Stynski in Ivanhoe, MN,
Lincoln County. She was baptized
and confirmed in the Catholic faith and attended country school.
On September 10, 1946 Caroline
married Arthur Thielges in Wilno, MN. They made their home in St. Paul, MN for a short time, before moving in
1951 to Huron, SD. They then moved
to Tracy, MN in 1961. Caroline
worked in the old Tracy Hospital as a nurses aid for many years. She was a member of the St. Mary’s
Catholic Church in Tracy, where she was a member of the rosary society. Caroline was also active in the Tracy
VFW Auxiliary, the DFL party and enjoyed reading, flower gardening and spending
time with her grandchildren.
She moved into an apartment in
Marshall, MN for several years before she became a resident of the Prairie View
Healthcare Center in Tracy in March of 2008.
Caroline is survived by her
two sons, Patrick (Milly) Thielges of Marshall, MN and Steven (Shari) Thielges
of Eden Prairie, MN; one daughter, Lee (Paul) Simley of Perham, MN; six
grandchildren, Melissa, Kimberly, Bryon, Anthony, Shane, and Moriah; five great
grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence and Gordon Stynski both of Ivanhoe, MN
and Norbert Stynski of Colorado Springs, CO; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Her husband, Arthur, her
parents, and two brothers, Richard and Raymond Stynski preceded her in death.
