Marcella Gregoire, 89
Marcella T. Gregoire age 89 of
Tracy, MN died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the Prairie View Healthcare Center
in Tracy. Services were held
at 2:30 p.m. Friday, October 5,
2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy. Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery. The Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy
handled the arrangements.
Marcella Theresa Gregoire was
born December 21, 1922 to Ernest and Lena (Schreier) Beach in Currie, MN,
Murray County. She was baptized
and confirmed in the Catholic faith at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church
in Currie and attended Country School District #5.
On January 3, 1942 Marcella
married Oliver Gregoire at I.H.M. in Currie and they made their home on a farm
near Currie. They later moved to a
farm near Garvin until 1983, when they retired from the farm. They moved to Lamberton that year and
managed a chicken farm until 1989 when they moved to Tracy, MN. Through the years, Marcella was a
housewife and mother, but also worked along side her husband with the farm
work. Marcella also did
babysitting for neighbors and friends for many years. She enjoyed gardening, both vegetable and flowers, cooking,
baking, canning and most of all caring for children.
In June of 2012 she became a
resident of Prairie View Healthcare Center in Tracy, where she died Sunday,
September 30, 2012 at the age of 89.
Marcella is survived by her
two sons, Richard (Shirley) Gregoire of Russell, MN and Donald (Nanette)
Gregoire of Tracy, MN; six grandchildren, Tammy Jo (Herb) Doody, Laura (Rick)
Wilks, James (Jennifer) Gregoire, Richard (Michele) Gregoire Jr., Troy (Twyla)
Gregoire and Tim (Bobbie) Gregoire; fourteen great grandchildren, Danny and
David Hicks, Brandon, Tanner, Makayla, Logan, Jayden, Jordan, Tyson, Tiffany,
Clyde and Ayden Gregoire, Amanda Banks and Christopher Doody; two great-great
grandchildren, Jordan Hicks and Levi Banks; six sisters, Berniece Silva of CA,
Lorraine Jones of Slayton, MN, Eileen (Lloyd) Johnson of Worthington, MN,
Darlene (Donald) LeClaire of Currie, MN, Daretta Landsman of Tyler, MN and
Beverly Gilliland of Currie, MN; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Her husband, Oliver, her
parents, four brothers-in-law, Earl Silva, Calvin Jones, Virgil Landsman, and
Lorin Gilliland, four nieces and one nephew preceded her in death.

Robyn Hansen, 47
Robyn Hansen, 47, of
Willernie, the daughter of Sharon and Bill Hansen of New Ulm, died Friday,
October 5, 2012 at the Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Funeral service will
be 11 am Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm
with Pastor Debra R. Bergstrand officiating. Burial will follow in the
New Ulm City Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Tuesday and 7:30-8:30 am
Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, south chapel, in New Ulm and
will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on

Robyn is survived by her
fiancé, Steve Hinrichs of Willernie; parents, Bill and Sharon Hansen; sister
and brother-in-law, Kim and Greg Haubrich; brothers and sister-in-law, Mark and
Ruth Hansen, Jason and partner, Tiffany Thompson; sister-in-law, Eileen (Duane)
Kral; nephews and nieces, Eric, Jeremy, Jake, Mitchell, Ryley, Niki (special friend,
Randy), Ashley (Tim), Heather; and great nieces and nephews, all of New
Ulm. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dave Hansen; and her
grandparents.
Robyn Kay Hansen was born
April 29, 1965 in Tracy to Bill and Sharon (Gullickson) Hansen. She attended
New Ulm High School and graduated with the class of 1983. After high
school, she attended college in Duluth for two years and then worked as an
accountant in Woodbury. Although Robyn had no kids of her own, she
loved her nieces and nephews and treated them as her own. She had a
wonderful life with her fiancé and partner of 11 years, Steve. Robyn
loved visiting Leech Lake, being outdoors, gardening, decorating, her two dogs,
and spending time with her friends and family. Memorials are preferred to

David Horsman, 75
David W. Horsman age 75 of
Balaton, MN died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at his home in Balaton. A private family service will be held
at the Almlie Funeral Home in Balaton on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. Interment will be in the Hoiland
Cemetery near Garvin, MN. The
Almlie Funeral Home of Balaton is handling the arrangements.

David Wright Horsman was born
February 5, 1937 to Clyde and Catherine (Prouty) Horsman in Tracy, MN. He was Baptized and confirmed in the
Christian faith and attended country school in Monroe Township. He then attended Tracy High School,
graduating in 1955. During his
years in high school, David was active in the school choir and excelled in
sports, participating in football, track and wrestling. He was awarded a full football
scholarship to South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD, but an injury
ended his playing and he chose to work on the farm with his father. He also
participated in Golden Gloves Boxing program in Slayton.
On May 14, 1960 David married
Elaine Benson at the Church of Christ in Tracy. They made their home on a farm southwest of Tracy where he
was a grain and livestock farmer. In 1990 he and his wife moved to Balaton, MN where he resided until his
death.
David continued his love of
music and sports from high school, often singing around the house and enjoying
watching Vikings football and golf on Television. He had a great interest in history and always stayed on top
of current events in the world. He
also enjoyed playing cards and board games with his family.
On Sunday, October 7, 2012
David died at his home in Balaton at the age of 75.
David is survived by his wife,
Elaine Horsman of Balaton; one daughter, Angie (Matt) Welu of Tyler, MN; three
sons, Loren of Homestead, FL, Tom of Balaton and James of Maple Grove, MN; two
grandchildren, JoAnn (Scott) Doysher of Mankato, MN and Megan (Eric) Welu-Papp
of Woodbury, MN; three great grandchildren, Aubrey, Kenley and Katy; one
brother, Neil (Millie) Horsman of Tracy, MN; two sisters, Virginia (Gordon)
Stahn of Fairmont, MN and Marjorie (Jim) Sorenson of Lamberton, MN; nieces,
nephews and friends.
His parents, Clyde and
Catherine Horsman preceded him in death.
Merle Kathman, 86
Merle (Bud) Kathman, age
86, died at the Sioux Falls VA on
Tuesday, October 9th.
The wake will be held at the
Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12. The funeral service will be held on
Saturday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. at the Old Westbrook Lutheran Church.
