Mike Landuyt returns from Trump inauguration
By Seth Schmidt
Mike Landuyt witnessed history being made in Washington D.C. Friday.
The rural Walnut Grove farmer was among the multitudes witnessing the inauguration of Donald Trump as the nation’s 45th president. Landuyt says the experience is one he will never forget.
“It was fun. Being there to watch something that has happened only 45 times was really something,” said Landuyt. “There have only been 45 people in our history who have become president, and to be standing there with so many other people, watching it happen, was really something.”
Landuyt got tickets to the inauguration from Senator Al Franken’s office because of his position as president-elect of the Minnesota Cattlemen’s Association. He traveled with Ashley Kohls, executive director of the group.
