Kenneth Shaw, 86, of Sartell, MN, formerly of Tracy, MN passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Country Manor in Sartell. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Tracy Lutheran Church. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in the Tracy City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the Tracy Lutheran Church Building Fund, Prairie View Senior Living and Country Manor in Sartell. Kenneth Luverne Shaw was born on August 15, 1930 in Dovray Township, Murray County to Roy and Hazel (Severson) Shaw. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and attended country school.
On June 4, 1949, Kenny was united in marriage to Donna Eilefson at Tracy Lutheran Church. They made their home in Tracy where Kenny worked for almost 30 years at the Tracy Bottling Company. He then worked as a bus driver for the Tracy Public Schools. Kenny was active with the Plum Creek Saddle Club and was an AQHA horse show judge in the 5 state area for over 40 years. His most recent judging was in 2013 in Sauk Rapids, MN. He was also Grand Marshal in the Tracy Box Car Days for a number of years. Kenny had a passion for horses and when he was not working with horses, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
On Sunday, March 5, 2017, Kenny passed away at the Country Manor in Sartell, Minnesota at the age of 86.
He is survived by his children Nancy (Chuck) Leonard of Kimball, Candace (David) Saelens of Otsego, DeAnn (Joseph) Sinatra of Wallingford, CT and David (Kathi) Shaw of Sartell; grandchildren Michael (Anna) Leonard, Melissa (Jim) Olson, Mandy (Jose) Sanchez, Chad Saelens, Angie (Kyle) Sjostrand, Mitchell (Michele) Sinatra, Nicholas Sinatra, Ashley Sinatra, Taylor Shaw and Kirsten Shaw; great grandchildren Alexis, Mason, Connor, Grace, Megan, Brayden, Bryce, Caitlin, Avery, Eric, Lauren and Walter; brothers Curtis (Delores) Shaw of Garvin, Robert (Lois) Shaw of Marshall and Lee Shaw of Marshall; sister Linda Shaw of Tracy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna, son Mark, great granddaughter Angelica, brother Clint, half sisters Verna, Ruby and Lucille and half brother Chester.
