Sanford Tracy Medical Center will be offering free and reduced-price medical screenings during its annual health fair, Monday through Friday, May 8-12. The screenings include:
• Blood tests, HgAIC panel $20; CMP/Lipid panel, $30; Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Fasting required. No appointment needed.
• Mammograms, Monday, May 8, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Screening fees will be submitted to insurance.
• Heart screenings, Monday, May 8, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., $25. Pre-registration is required by calling 1-888-996-4673.
• Heel scan, free, Wednesday, May 10, 1 to 3 p.m.
• Derma scan, skin-cancer screening, free, Thursday, May 11, 5 to 7 p.m.

Also planned next week is a community picnic Thursday, May 11, 5 to 7 p.m., in the O’Brien Court parking garage. Burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, chips, cookies, and beverages will be served. There’s no charge, but contributions will be accepted for the Tracy Area Medical Foundation. The picnic is being held in connection with the health fair and the celebration of National Hospital Week.
The Zoo Express from the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls will be on hand, as will the Sanford Mega Heart bounce house for children. A Teddy Bear clinic is set for 5:30 p.m.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Dept. will host a drop box for old prescriptions. The Tracy police and fire departments will be on hand with equipment displays.
A medallion hunt has a $50 prize for the lucky winner. Clues will be posted daily at Lewis Drug, Minnwest Bank, the Tracy Chamber of Commerce, and broadcast over KMHL Radio at 9:20 a.m.
