Kevin Lee Hemish, age 55, of Willmar, died Saturday morning, August 19, at his residence in Willmar.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23, at Calvary Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Hawk Creek Animal Shelter are preferred. www.petersonbrothers.com
Kevin Lee Hemish was born on October 3, 1961, the son of Gordon and Doris Mae (Gilb) Hemish. He grew up on a farm near Tracy and graduated from Tracy High School in 1980. He then attended the Willmar Vo-Tech for welding and pursued further education in engineering. Kevin was employed for over 35 years with RELCO as a Senior Process Engineer. He was the World’s foremost expert on lactose processing equipment. Kevin was married to Penny Ann Kinzler and together they raised three daughters. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, traveling for business and pleasure, family time, spoiling his grandchildren and canine companion and working on projects around the home. Kevin loved his work and he never missed a family holiday.
He is survived by his loving wife, Penny of Willmar; three daughters, Camille Olson of Willmar, Sierra Hemish of Willmar and Alicia Allred of St. Cloud; four grandchildren, Tayler, Marissa, Raya and Kylah and his canine companion, Chico. Also surviving is his mother, Doris Mae Hemish of Marshall; and three siblings, Michael (and Bonnie) Hemish of Lake Crystal, Dennis (and Charlene) Hemish of Walnut Grove and Kathleen (and John) Pollock of Lynd, besides other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon in 2015.
