Kyleen Olson Photography plans downtown open house

Picture this: a new business is opening in downtown Tracy.
A grand opening for Kyleen Olson Photography is planned Saturday, Nov. 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the former Summit Place building.
Olson considers her new space a dream come true.
“Having a presence downtown is really going to help my business,” says Olson.
She envisions the 181 Third St. location as a place to display her work, market her services and products, and meet with clients.
“I want to offer a total client experience,” Olson explains.
A corner of the storefront has sofa seating and a flat-screen television, where clients will be able to view photos. Displays placed around the studio showcase samples of her photography. A kids’ play area is out-fitted with toys and books to keep little people occupied while parents think about photography services. Another space is set-up for seasonal children’s portraits.
“This is something I’ve always wanted do,” says the Tracy photographer.
Olson had a downtown location once before, but only briefly. Last November, Olson displayed her photography in the former VAST Communications building north of the Tracy Masonic Temple building. She was forced to leave that space when both the Masonic and VAST buildings were razed this summer. But Olson got permission to salvage her shop’s front door, which is being used in the new interior.
