Seven city residents have filed for a vacancy on the Tracy City Council.
Rhonda Fredericks and James Green became the sixth and seventh candidates to apply for the opening before the filing period ended on Friday, Dec. 22.
The other applicants are Rosemary Martin, Valerie Danielson, Kou Thao, Jodi Severson and Kurt Enderson.
An appointment to fill a one-year council term will likely be made on Monday, Jan. 8, at the council’s first regularly scheduled meeting of 2018.
The vacancy was created by the November resignation of Bill Chukuske, who was elected to a four-year term in the 2016 general election. The appointment is for a one-year term. The council seat will be up-for-grabs in the November, 2018 general election.
