The funeral service for Charlotte (Goltz) Hatton, 69, of Richfield, formerly of Tracy, will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the Tracy United Methodist Church (162 Morgan St.) in Tracy. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM, one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at the Tracy Cemetery in Tracy.
Charlotte Gelaine Hatton was born on August 11, 1948, in Tracy, MN, to Albert and Caroline (Meyer) Goltz. She grew up in Tracy and graduated from Tracy High School.
On June 18, 1966, she was married to John Hatton in Balaton. In 1968, the couple moved to Richfield. Charlotte owned and operated a home daycare for 30 years. She enjoyed collecting ceramic pottery and old dishes, and relished spending time with her grandchildren.
Charlotte died on December 19, 2017, at Edinbrook of Edina in Edina, MN following a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, John, of Richfield; son Jeff (and Meg) Hatton; grandchildren Sarah, Katherine, and Nicholas; daughter Carrie (and Rob) Diana; grandson Alex; Siblings David Goltz, Lois (and William) Sorenson, Norma (and Donald) Klein, Marilyn Leysen, Donald (and Sue) Goltz, Lyle (and Linda) Goltz; sister-in-law Joyce Goltz; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Caroline; siblings Nyla Rolland, Jeanette (and husband Dick) Baack, John Goltz, Ruth Goltz and brother-in-law Larry Leysen.
