Two finalists have been selected for the Tracy City Administrator vacancy.
Andrea M. Aukrust, New Ulm, is co-owner and manager of Davis Rental Properties.
Kristopher J. Ambuehl, Little Falls, is employed by the Minnesota Army National Guard.
A city interview committee of Mayor Pam Cooreman, city council member Jeri Schons, Interim City Administrator Shane Daniels, and Economic Development Director Jeff Carpenter selected the two finalists. Six candidates were interviewed.
Mayor Cooreman said Tuesday that the names of the finalists would be presented to the full city council on Monday. Cooreman said it will be her recommendation that the council hold a special meeting on Thursday, May 17, to interview the two finalists. Both Aukrust and Ambuehl have agreed to come for a second interview, Cooreman said. The interviews will be held at Tracy City Hall, she said, but will not be televised.
Aukrust earned a Master of Arts degree in Urban Planning from Minnesota State University, Mankato, in May 2008. At the same time, she also earned a graduate certificate in local government management from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Aukrust completed undergraduate work from MSU on a degree in sociology and marketing in 2006.
Ambuehl earned a degree from Upper Iowa University, Mount Vernon, IA., where he majored in public administration and minored in emergency management.
The city administrator position has been vacant since last fall.
