Gordon “Gordy” Landuyt, age 67 of Tracy, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at his home. Visitation will be held for one hour starting at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 16 at the Tracy Area Funeral Home, followed by a prayer service. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Gordon John “Gordy” Landuyt was born December 4, 1950 in Marshall, Minnesota to George and Erma (Langsweirdt) Landuyt. He graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1968. Gordy served in the US Army and was stationed for a period of time in Germany. He was a member of the Tracy American Legion, enjoyed being outdoors and his work as a handyman. He loved watching the Minnesota Gophers and Twins. Most of all, Gordy loved being with his family, and being surrounded by children – they were naturally drawn to him. He always had treat bags prepared for all the kids who visited.
Gordy is survived by his son, Marc Landuyt; siblings: Gerald (Kandy) Landuyt, Gloria (Roger) VanOverbeke, Glad Henning, George Jr. (Kris) Landuyt, Gail (Tom) Boyum, Gwen (Dale Jr.) Johnson; sister-in-law Doris Landuyt; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Georgena Smith and Gary Landuyt.
