TMB’s Section 3AA semifinal game against Pipestone Area will be at 5 p.m. on Saturday at Pipestone, not 3 p.m. as was originally tentatively scheduled.
The winner will play either No. 1 Redwood Area or No. 4 GFW at 7 p.m. on Nov. 2 at SMSU in the Section 3AA championship game.
The No. 3 Panthers (7-2) beat MCW, 32-6, on Tuesday in their Section 3AA opener, while the second-seeded Arrows (7-2) took it to Windom Area by a score of 72-27.
This will be the second time in as many years TMB and PA have met in the section semifinals. Last year, the Arrows returned two interceptions for touchdowns en route to a 47-14 win over the Panthers.
The Panthers, who have won seven games for just the third time in the last 10 years, were victorious inĀ their first four games of the season before a 26-16 setback to Springfield. Their second loss came at the hands of New Ulm Cathedral, 24-14.
The Arrows’ two losses this year were by a combined three points. They fell to undefeated Redwood Valley 16-14 in overtime on Sept. 28, and dropped their regular-season finale to Jackson County Central (8-1), 14-13.
