Donald Dennis DeBlieck, age 66, passed away June 29, 2021 in his home in Cannon Falls, MN. Donald was born in Tracy, MN on September 18, 1954 to Julius & Grace DeBlieck. Don went to Tracy Public Schools until 1969 until his parents moved to Boise, ID. He attended and graduated from Borah High School in Boise. In his senior year, he was named Battalion Commander of the Cadet of the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps of the three Boise High Schools. Don served in the US Air Force from 1972-76 stationed in Milan, Italy and Mountain Home, ID. Don met and married Betty Clark in January 23, 1978. They raised three daughters, Melissa, Jessica, and Heather.
Don was in the meat packing industry from 1977 to 2010 working in various supervisory positions. He moved to Minnesota in 2011 working for Lorentz Meats in Cannon Falls, HyVee in Rochester and Family Fare in Cannon Falls doing retail meat cutting until his retirement.
Don spent from 2015 to 2017 involved with Adult & Teen Challenge in Rochester and Brainerd, MN.
While living in Idaho, Don was an avid hunter. His other hobby was growing gigantic pumpkins. Moving back to Minnesota, he loved to fish. He spent many hours on Lake Byllesby in Cannon Falls, sometimes catching fish. He loved country western music and watching the Vikings and the MN Twins.
Don is survived by his three daughters, Melissa Emerick of Twin Falls, ID, Jessica (Frank) Gradyan living in Guam, and Heather (Garisha) DeBlieck of Post Falls, ID, and two grandchildren, Alynna and Maddox. He is also survived by eight siblings, MaryAnn Schumacher, Wyoming, MN, Andrew (Janice) DeBlieck, Clovis, CA, John DeBlieck, Boise, ID, Walt DeBlieck, Boise, ID, Robert (Mary) DeBlieck, Circle Pines, MN, Judy (George) Wilson, Cannon Falls, MN, Anne Dudley, Burnsville, MN, and Carol Smith, Rancho Mirage, CA, and best friend, Rudy Woodworth, Burnsville, MN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Julius & Grace DeBlieck, brother, James, & sister-in-law, Reba, brother Thomas, brother-in-law, Dennis Schumacher, sister-in-law, Patt DeBlieck and nephew Todd DeBlieck.
Funeral services will be July 25th at Christ United Methodist Church, 29470 Gaylord Avenue, Cannon Falls, MN 55009. Visitation 12:00 and service 1:00. Burial will be in Tracy, MN at the Tracy Cemetery , Sept 4 at 3:00 p.m.
