The funeral service for Frances Gregoire, 96, of Tracy, will be Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Tracy Lutheran Church. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at the Tracy Community Cemetery.
Frances Marie (Selck) Gregoire was born on January 4, 1926, in Tracy, to Frank and Marie (Bachmann) Selck. She grew up in Tracy and graduated from Tracy High School in 1944. On October 19, 1947, she was united in marriage to Walter Gregoire at the Westbrook Lutheran Parsonage. The couple farmed north of Tracy until they retired to Tracy in 1980. After Walter’s death in 2003, Frances lived at home for a time before moving into O’Brien Court in 2006. She most recently was living at Prairie View Senior Living. In her free time, Frances enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and making rugs.
Frances died on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Prairie View Senior Living in Tracy. She is survived by her brother-in-law Elrick Gregoire, special nephew Don (and Nan) Gregoire, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter, sister Irene (and Harry) Retzloff, and Gregoire brothers- and sisters-in-law.
