Patricia (Patty) Klawitter, age 84, of Champlin was called home to our Lord on September 16, 2022. Patty was born in Tracy, MN, on March 31, 1938, to Curt and Mary (Jenniges) Brasket. She was the youngest of eight children: Clement, Estella, Cyril, Doris, Denis, Curt, and Richard.
Of her siblings, she is survived by her brother, Richard Brasket. After graduating from Tracy (MN) High School in 1956 she moved to Minneapolis and met Eugene Klawitter on a blind date. Eugene and Patty were married in 1965 and built their life together at their home in Champlin, Minnesota and at their farm in Minong, Wisconsin. Patty and Eugene stayed busy with their real estate and rental property business, loved working in their garden together, and were always in one another’s company. She and Eugene were married 56 years until his passing in 2021. Like her siblings, Patty was very clever.
Her mind and wit were sharp until the end, and she was very charitable with her family, always remembering birthdays and arranging a year-end, holiday get-together. For many years she was passionate about antique collecting and enjoyed reading voraciously until her eyes weakened.
A memorial service will be held for Patty 11 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the Gearhart Anoka Chapel 552 E River Road Anoka, MN followed by reception and visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at the NorthWest Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Spooner, Wisconsin at 12 p.m. Friday, September 30th, with a short reception and celebration of Patty (and Eugene’s) life to follow at Tony’s Riverside in Spooner after the interment.
