A strong 2022 year-end financial recap shared at Monday’s Tracy City Council meeting was highlighted by a very positive rundown of Boxcar Liquors’ bottom line.
Tracy City Administrator Erik Hansen outlined the City’s Liquor Store fund, noting Boxcar Liquors saw a record cash flow of $112,731 in 2022. Compare that to $84,985 in 2021, and it became clear that the increase in traffic from the move from South St. to Hwy. 14 continues to grow in a big way.
Cash revenue from the Liquor Store fund goes straight into the City’s General Fund.
“You can really tell that moving to the highway was the right thing,” Hansen said, echoing council member Seth Schmidt’s words from earlier in the meeting.
