The Tracy City Council on Monday put a Band-Aid on a scar that for one reason or another just won’t go away.
With seven Charter Commission vacancies — there are nine openings in all — the council moved to appoint each of its own members to the commission.
Earlier, they had learned that there were no applications for the Charter Commission for this round of board and commission appointments.
And although this particular commission only meets annually, since Tracy is a Charter City State law requires it to have a full commission. They did not meet at all in 2022 for lack of a quorum.
