If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.
Then try again.
That’s what the City of Tracy is doing in its quest for a DNR Recreational Grant to finally get the ball rolling on the first phase of a comprehensive improvement project for Central Park. The City this month will apply for the grant for a third time, hoping that it’s a charm.
“I’m learning that things do not happen overnight,” said Connie Anderson, a member of the Park Board, which has reviewed and accepted the latest grant request. “I’m finding it very interesting but very frustrating. Two years now, we’ve tried for this grant, but we will get it done, and we’re not going to give up.”
