Adam Hicks began tracking his hours for his Supervised Agriculture Activity (SAE) when he was in the seventh grade. To put that into context, he has since reached the 7,500-hour mark by working for the family farm Nettiewyynt Farms, along with a few other farms.
Those day-to-day tasks and Hicks’ commitment to agriculture has paid off many fold, and the aspiring farmer was named Minnesota FFA Star in Production Placement at this past weekend’s Minnesota State FFA Convention in the Twin Cities.
