Erik Hansen has resigned as Tracy city administrator. His last day in office will be May 21; he will be using vacation days after that through June 9.
Hansen has accepted a position as the CEO of a government agency in Eden Prairie. Hansen has informed the Tracy City Council of his decision.
After signing a two-year contract, Hansen was sworn in as city administrator in March 2020, just before the pandemic hit and forced shutdowns all across the state and nation. His arrival in Tracy continued a revolving door-type situation in that office, as he became the fifth person to hold the city administrator title since 2011.
