For the second time in just over three years, Tracy’s city administrator office will soon once again be vacated.
Hansen informed the Tracy City Council of his decision last week to resign, as he has accepted a position as CEO of Southwest Transit in Eden Prairie, which provides bus service and other public transportation in the Southwest part of the Twin Cities, primarily Chaska, Chanhassen and Eden Prairie.
“I have no regrets,” he told the Tracy Area Headlight Herald last Thursday. “Tracy was going to be a challenge, I knew that coming in. I feel like I contributed what I wanted to contribute, and it’s time to move on to another challenge.”
Hansen’s last day in office will be May 31; he will be using vacation days after that through June 9.
