More than 125 people gathered in Bethel Cemetery in front of a sea of white crosses for the Garvin American Legion and Auxiliary’s annual Memorial Day program Monday. The sun broke through the clouds as Pastor Ryan Petersen reminded those in attendance the many things we get to do on a daily basis because of our freedom.
“Today, Memorial Day, is a time to remember and show gratitude for the men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice in defense of their nation,” Petersen said.
