Despite declining enrollment and the upcoming fiscal year being the last year the school will receive COVID dollars, Tracy Area Public Schools Supt. Chad Anderson told the board Monday the school is still in a good position as it moves forward.
“The fund balance is up a little bit because of years of COVID funds being available,” Anderson said. “But we’ve been preparing for this and trying to anticipate that as we have declining enrollment and reducing staff where we can. So, overall we’re sitting in a good spot.”
The Tracy Area Public School Board approved its 2023-2024 preliminary budget at Monday’s meeting.
