We’re in the middle of another summer of a portion of Tracy’s street infrastructure being replaced and roads being redone, but for one Tracy city councilman, it is coming at a price that has nothing to do with the cost of the project.
As more roads are being ripped up, so, too are more trees uprooted and removed from the city’s boulevards, and councilmember Seth Schmidt would like the council to take under consideration some kind of sponsored tree program to help make up for the loss of hundreds of well-established trees in town.
