Amy Munson has rarely been at a loss for words. Then again, she’s never been honored in front of hundreds of people like she was last Thursday.
Munson, along with Paul Blanchard of Marshall, spoke at last week’s Relay For Life of Lyon County as this year’s honorary survivors. Armed with only a tissue, the loquacious Munson took the stage and spoke, not from a prepared speech, but from her heart as she detailed her cancer journey.
Munson’s support group — Amy’s Prayer Warriors — were in Marshall on Thursday in full force. The group is made up of friends and family who each donned special T-shirts to show off their love for Amy.
