At first glance, it looked like a bunch of kids in a park. Nothing surprising there. But a close study of what went on at Lions Park in Balaton last Wednesday evening tells a different story.
The JAM (Jesus and Me) program used the park — and the basketball court — as a venue to celebrate its 14th year of serving are youth — opening their eyes and minds to Jesus and the Bible, while having some fun at the same time.
JAM is volunteer-driven, and United Methodist Church Pastor Lori VonHolum said if it wasn’t for all those who dedicate themselves and give of their time, JAM wouldn’t have been able to continue its mission for all these years.
