It’s been more than a year since the Tracy Municipal Building was deemed eligible to gain a spot on the National Register of Historic Places list. That opened the door for the City of Tracy to pursue grant funding for much-needed upgrades to the building.
On Thursday, a meeting will take place this week to get the ball rolling on that most important process.
The City has already received a grant for $16,600 from the Minnesota Historical Society to complete a Conditions Assessment on the City Hall/VMC complex (the City is matching that grant with $4,000 to pay for consulting). An RFP was issued prior to the submission of the application, and ISG was selected to oversee the work. The City will continue to utilize the services of New History as consultants on the project.
