The Lyon County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday showed its support of a housing project in Balaton.
The plan in Balaton is to retrofit the former Colonial Manor building into 10 to 11 units of housing, which would be leased out. Kasey Holm said that KEH, Inc. is currently in the process of applying for a Workforce Development Grant to rehabilitate the property. However, it would require a financial commitment from Lyon County as a match.
Commissioners approved earmarking up to $100,000 for the project, with Commissioner Rick Anderson making the motion and Commissioner Paul Graupmann seconding.
