Continuing its two-year effort to meet the demand of affordable housing in Tracy, city officials on Tuesday presented to Lyon County Commissioners the city’s plan to add a third, roughly 1,500-square foot, single-level house on Front St.

Tracy City Administrator Jeff Carpenter and EDA member Tom Dobson were in front of the board to request $100,000 in seed money from the county that would be used for housing only — in this case, that third slab-on-grade home.

On Tuesday, the county board stopped short of earmarking the money for Tracy, pending a review with the county attorney to ensure this project would fit the criteria for the funding.
