Red, white and new at high school?

Millions of dollars are being spent on crucial improvements to the mechanical inner-workings of Tracy Area High School — much-needed infrastructure upgrades that no one will ever see.

With construction ideally wrapping up in time for the start of a new school year in September, the district has turned its attention to making some aesthetic changes that everyone will see.

School administration and staff discussed the possibility of branding at its recent District No. 2904 School Board meeting. There was $5,000 put into the FY25 budget for such an undertaking.

“We want to make sure we show pride in our school district,” Tracy Area Public Schools Supt. Chad Anderson said. “We want to show that Panther pride. When we’re done with our facilities, our halls are going to be nice and white, the walls are going to be nice and white, and we’re going to have brand new, white ceiling tiles — there’s a lot of white. We want to continue to look at ways to spruce it up with Panther pride.”
