Sub-70-degree weather didn’t put a damper on the opening of the Tracy Aquatic Center on Friday, as dozens of young ones flocked to the pool to get their feet wet on the 2024 pool season.

About $3,000 was brought in at the pool Friday, which includes summer passes.

Saturday’s crowd at Central Park for Burgers, Bands & Brews was not as strong, relatively speaking, as the annual event drew about more than 100 fewer people than a year ago. Still, Tracy City Administrator Jeff Carpenter said, the weekend was a success.
