Most options back on table for center

A new-look — and slightly more optimistic — Community Center Workforce Group met Monday evening to brainstorm ideas for a new community center in Tracy.

While the faces and voices are the same as the previous group, there are fewer of both. And members hope trimming down the number of voices will help the project regain some lost momentum.

The group — Jeanine Vandendriessche, Ken Witt, Becky Averill, Karen Krog, Dave Edwards, along with council members Jan Arvizu and George Landuyt — made no final decisions on a new center Monday, but did make it a point to move forward after four years of discussion, which has led to little progress.
