Every year of the Tracy Area Gardens and Quilts Tour is different, but this year features some especially unique pieces.

From a metal wall garden to new quilt techniques, there will be plenty to see at the July 10 event.

Show organizers Jolynn Johns and Becky Averill are once again expecting a great turnout, especially with last year’s attendance being up.

“So far, we’re not worried about the rain,” Johns said.

Next Wednesday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies.

The Lake Sarah Quilters are featured this year, and their quilts are very unique, said Johns.

“They’re all themed,” added Averill. “Each one has scripture on it, too.”

Those quilts will be shown at Breezy Barn, near Lake Shetek, where the tradition of serving St. Mary’s pies will continue.
