Tash Munneke’s younger brother camps at Edgewater on Lake Shetek. He recently told Tash about how great the area was and how she and her husband, Corey, needed to visit. The pair — along with two other couples — visited, and before Tash knew it, Corey and another husband bought permanent sites without any notice.
That was how much the Iowa couple loved the Shetek area. But their admiration for the lake and the campgrounds went beyond a simple love for the spot. In fact, they loved it so much that they decided to buy the former Carlson Corner gas station on Valhalla Road.
