If members of the Tracy Area Elementary School Lego League/robotics team didn’t know much about the problems plastic refuse can cause to the environment before this school year, they certainly do now.
The seven members of the team recently advanced past their regional competition by tackling a worldwide issue: saving the oceans. Their solution was to create a school-wide recycling program they call the “Pirate Panther Plastic Program.”
