The purchase of the 3,000-square foot ADO building by the City was finalized last week with a price tag of about $151,000.
The transaction symbolized more than the takeover of a building, however. It also represents the kind of progress of which many have been thirsting for nearly half a decade, since the Multi-Purpose Center was sold in 2020.
While it might not erase bitter feelings left over from the loss of the MPC building, the Community Center Workforce Group is looking ahead to what can be, now that a location has been settled on for a new community/senior center.
