Overdue SCADA fix coming thanks to $420K grant

The City of Tracy was informed last week it is a recipient of a $420,300 grant.

The grant is a Greater Minnesota Waste Reduction, Reuse, Recycling and Composting Grant that will mostly be put toward the City’s SCADA computer system at the water plant. There is a 90%/10% (City) match qualifier for the grant, which was submitted by Bollig.

The City’s SCADA system has been a lingering talking point for about five years, and bringing it up to standards is an expensive endeavor. However, its current condition has made it difficult for City workers to operate.
