City council meetings: TV or no TV?

The antiquated nature of the City of Tracy’s broadcast system, which airs things like city council meetings via Vast and Charter, appears to have reached a point of no return.

The City has been dealing with inconsistency with broadcasting for years, and on Monday went so far as to entertain the idea of no longer offering the service to Tracy residents.

“I was told by some people that used to watch it that they don’t miss it anymore because they get enough information from our local newspaper,” council member George Landuyt said. “They don’t want to spend anymore money.”
