Could the “M” in TMB soon reflect the home to all future Milroy students?
It’s one step closer after the Milroy School Board unanimously voted to enter consolidation negotiations with Tracy Area Public Schools at its regular meeting Monday night.
At the January meeting, the board had voted to have Supt. John Willey contact three area schools to discuss possible consolidation. Since then, Wabasso and Marshall superintendents both informed Willey they were not interested in consolidation. However, Willey reported that TAPS Supt. Chad Anderson was very welcoming and positive in his conversation with Willey.
After discussion on the building, Willey told the board they had to make some tough decisions.
“You as a board need to start some strong discussions, knowing Tracy is ready to accept us,” Willey said. “You have to be united as a board.”
